Student Placement Coordinator

CASA is a trusted non-profit organization delivering holistic, culturally safe wrap-around mental health services to children (3-18) and their families in Alberta. We do this through a team of specialized mental health professionals who are trauma experts committed to delivering outcomes-based programming in collaboration with community partners. CASA’s vision is a community where all children, youth and their families are provided timely mental health care and empowered to thrive.
The student placement coordinator will create an experience for students that exceeds their expectations from the moment they apply to their last minutes with CASA as a student – and beyond. The student placement coordinator is at the heart of this experience. Working with a collaborative team, they will develop the processes necessary to attract and match interested students with available opportunities at CASA. The student placement coordinator will accomplish this by building relationships with post-secondary institutions and with CASA managers to curate a positive student experience that leads to students returning as employees.
The student placement coordinator at CASA, Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health (CASA), plays an integral role in building CASA’s reputation as a nationally recognized teaching and learning organization. Reporting the human resources manager, the student placement coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination and management of CASA’s Student Placement Program. Key components of this position include liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders, supporting the student onboarding process, and post-placement evaluation. The student placement coordinator:
Builds relationships with various post-secondary instructions and maintains a current directory of contacts and program summaries.
Develops and implements required processes and procedures for the organization, post-secondary affiliates as well as current and future students.
Develops, maintains and regularly evaluates the student placement program to ensure program objectives are met.
Establishes and maintains the systems used to manage the Student Placement Program, including clear application, interview, onboarding, evaluation and off boarding processes for students and residents.
Primary Location: Hybrid
Minimum Salary: $50,000
Maximum Salary: $65,000
Hours Per Shift: 7.75
Shifts Per Week: Five
Days Off: Saturday/Sunday
Post-secondary degree in a related field or combination of education and experience.
Experience facilitating and leading teams and/or groups.
Minimum two years related experience is an asset.
Experience working in non-profit sector an asset.
All members of the CASA team are required to have a double vaccination status at this time.
