CASA is currently looking for two amiable front desk clerks to join our administrative team. As part of a genial, dedicated, professional team, the front desk clerk is the first point of contact for patients and families coming to CASA and supports clinical staff, psychiatrists, other program staff and the rest of the administrative team to assist patients with obtaining timely mental health care. Job Description

To greet and support patients and families as the first point of contact with CASA, as well as support the psychiatrists, clinical staff and other program requirements. Responsible for confirming or obtaining demographic information. Working directly with nurses, program clinical staff and site administration to assist patients with obtaining quality care. Duties include:

  • Understand CASA programs, where they are located and who to send calls to if there are questions and a basic understanding of external crisis supports.

  • Understand the referral process; internal referrals vs. Alberta Health Services or other external referrals.

  • Greet guests, children, adolescents and their families. Inform therapists and psychiatrists of arrivals and directs the families to the waiting room. Respond to inquiries as required.

  • Respond to incoming calls. Transfer incoming calls to appropriate lines or takes accurate telephone messages. Facilitate appointment bookings and confirmation calls.

Maximum Salary: $23.08

Days Off: Saturday/Sunday


  • Medical office assistant and/or business administration certificate required

  • Minimum typing of 50wpm with 95 per cent accuracy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Microsoft Excel software

  • High level of accuracy with data entry

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent customer service, attention to detail, multi-tasking

  • Two years of related administrative experience in a medical office setting
