Level Up for Kids’ Mental Health on Global Morning News

CASA’s Level Up for Kids’ Mental Health campaign is underway! We’re working to empower kids to thrive with specialized mental health services.

On Giving Tuesday, donations were matched in honour of the late Colby Cave, through Colby’s Kidz and the Colby Cave Memorial Fund. Thanks to our donors’ generosity, we surpassed our $10,000 goal for Giving Tuesday and inspired even more donors to level up for kids!

Colby’s wife Emily and Paula Colvin, CASA’s director of marketing and fund development, joined Global Morning News to talk about the campaign.

Colby was passionate about supporting mental health initiatives for underserved youth. Tragically, Colby died from a colloid cyst in his brain in April 2020. His legacy lives on through his beloved wife Emily, the Colby Cave Memorial Fund and the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation’s Colby’s Kidz program.

Watch CASA on Global Edmonton Morning News at 7:20 on the first Thursday of every month. Each “Your Mental Health” segment features a specialist from CASA talking about relevant mental health topics to children and families in our community.
