CASA Day Programs
Position Details: 0.87 FTE, In-Scope, Permanent (This position follows the EPSB calendar – 7 paid weeks off in the summer, 2 paid weeks at Christmas and 1 week for Easter break).

Looking for a challenging position helping with children and adolescents with complex mental health issues? Want to work with a multi-disciplinary team including a Speech-Language Pathologist, an Occupational Therapist, Psychiatrists, Nurse(s), Psychologists, Social Workers, Educators and more? Then we have the position for you! This position is shared between both of CASA’s tertiary-level day treatment programs. The majority of your time is focused on supporting a small caseload in the Adolescent Day Program, with a minority supporting groups in the Children’s Day Program at CASA.
The Mental Health Therapist will assess and treat complex patients and their families in an outpatient day treatment setting using a broad range of therapeutic skills. The therapist works closely with other CASA staff and physicians to deliver high quality bio-psycho-social individual, group and family interventions. The therapist functions as a team member and collaborates with outside agencies and programs to deliver care in a trauma informed family centered manner.

Graduate degree in Psychology or Social Work (psychosocial intervention designation is required), or a Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy or Nursing with a strong Mental Health background.
Must be a member in good standing with their respective professional association/college.
Previous experience in an ambulatory setting/program that provided bio-psycho-social intervention
Experience with CBT and DBT an asset
A commitment to best practice and knowledge of evidence informed mental health services
An ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
$34.40- $49.43 per hour depending on education and experience
