Want to work with a multi-disciplinary team including Child Psychiatrists, Nurse(s), Psychologists, Clinical Social Workers and more? CAMP uses an integrated approach; assessing and treating youth aged 11 – 18 experiencing addiction and mental health disorders. It offers comprehensive assessment, treatment, and follow up using a bio-psycho-social-spiritual framework within a chronic disease model of treatment. Individual, group, family and multi-family therapy may be offered within the program.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, key responsibilities are:
Ability to develop rapport with youth and families from diverse backgrounds
Conducts comprehensive bio-psychosocial mental health assessments as well as detailed substance abuse history.
Develops and implements treatment plans using a variety of treatment approaches
May conduct psycho-educational support and treatment groups.
Carries out case management functions including convening case conferences, and liaises with community services and other professionals involved with the adolescent and family.
Completes clinical and administrative documentation accurately and in a timely fashion
Advocates on behalf of the child and family as appropriate.
Graduate degree in Psychology or Social Work (psychosocial intervention designation is required), or a Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy or Nursing with a strong Mental Health background.
Must be a member in good standing with their respective professional association/college.
Clinical experience providing assessment and treatment services to youth and their families in both mental health and addiction.
Knowledge of youth mental health and addiction treatment models.
Experience using evidence based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
Experience working with trauma would be considered an asset
Excellent communication skills; group facilitation skills; and must be able to demonstrate the capacity to be a strong team player.
$34.40 - $49.43 per hour depending on education and experience.
