CASA is a trusted non-profit organization delivering holistic, culturally safe wrap-around mental health services to children (3-18) and their families in Alberta. We do this through a team of specialized mental health professionals who are trauma experts committed to delivering outcomes-based programming in collaboration with community partners. As the HR coordinator, you will have the opportunity to experience many different disciplines of the human resources field, and participate in different projects. This is an opportunity to contribute to an organization that is in a stage of growth, and to work towards the betterment of our community. The primary responsibilities will be supporting general human resources functions and assisting the recruitment and on boarding processes.

The HR coordinator is a critical role within the HR Team. The HR coordinator facilitates the daily activities of a variety of HR functions including recruitment, orientation/onboarding, benefits administration and employee and labour relations. As the first point of contact for both internal and external inquires, the HR coordinator prioritizes issues and ensures inquiries reach the appropriate HR personnel.
Assists with the recruitment process by shortlisting potential candidates, booking interviews, coordinating documentation, completing reference checks etc.
Books new employees for orientation and onboarding activities.
Triages incoming inquiries and ensures issues are assigned to the appropriate HR team member.
Participates in department and organizational projects as assigned by the manager of HR.
Location: CASA Downtown
Minimum Salary: $50,000
Maximum Salary: $65,000
Hours Per Shift: 7.75
Shifts Per Week: Five
Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
Diploma or degree in human resources or related field, equivalent experience may be considered
Previous experience working in an HR related position is an asset
Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
Awareness of current and emerging HR trends and best practices
Familiarity with Alberta employment and labour laws
Well developed computer skills including MS Office
