CASA House is an intensive residential treatment program that treats adolescents with complex mental health problems using a multidisciplinary team approach with an emphasis on family involvement.
The Child Care Counsellor works collaboratively with their colleagues in a team environment providing treatment to adolescents with significant mental health challenges and their families. The Child Care Counsellors provide behaviour management, guidance, support, supervision and case management to the adolescents in this program.
participating in case management of assigned adolescents and their families
implementing and monitoring treatment plans
maintaining clinical records
supervising and organizing daily living activities
participating in individual, family or group therapy
participating in recreational activities
participating in program meetings
Candidates with a diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care, BSW, BA or BSc (Psychology) are invited to apply. Additionally, candidates must:
Possess previous experience working in children’s mental health.
Be fluent in case management and supportive counselling for adolescents and their families.
Be clinically effective in rapport building with adolescents and their families.
Be experienced in working within a multi-disciplinary team.
Have a positive and energetic demeanor.
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
$24.23 - $30.51 per hour, depending on experience
