We do this through a team of specialized mental health professionals who are trauma experts committed to delivering outcomes-based programming in collaboration with community partners. As the manager of clinical in our Adolescent Day Program (ADP) and CASA House you will oversee and support the teams to deliver high-quality clinical services to our patients! This role is an essential leadership role and will support team members through mentorship, coaching and supervision. You’ll also assess and advocate for development and learning needs of our team. You’ll participate in clinical meetings, work to improve clinical processes and support program changes that are in alignment with CASA’s strategic goals. Job Description

Reporting to the senior manager of clinical operations and working closely with the program’s medical lead, the manager of clinical provides day to day leadership to an interdisciplinary team. The manager of clinical practices according to the code of ethics and practice standards of their specific discipline and supports scopes of practice and codes of ethics of other disciplines represented on their team. This manager provides clinical and service delivery leadership; human resource management including performance management, coaching, mentoring and clinical supervision; supports staff education and training; program development and change management as well as evaluation and quality improvement. The manager of clinical incorporates evidence-informed, best practice models into clinical programming and practice, and ensures clinical care remains consistent with CASA policies, procedures and strategic and operational plans. The manager of clinical, in partnership with the senior manager of clinical operations may liaise with community organizations to enhance partnerships and develop mutual goals. The manager, clinical:

  • Works with the senior manager of clinical operations and the medical lead to facilitate the development of a high functioning clinical team

  • Leads the delivery of high quality clinical services by providing competency assessment, coaching, mentoring, training and clinical supervision to members of the interdisciplinary team

  • Oversees and ensures direct reports utilize a holistic and high-quality model of assessment and treatment planning that is family-centered, trauma-informed and inclusive of biological, psychological, social and cultural factors for the patients and their family

  • In partnership with the professional practice leads, assesses and monitors standards of care and adherence to CASA clinical policies and procedures, and relevant legislation and acts

  • Identifies and manages required clinical competencies to meet program objectives and outcomes

  • Informs and trains staff on CASA policy and practice regarding admission, discharge data collection and clinical documentation

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in clinical psychology, social work (with psycho-social intervention designation), occupational therapy or nursing.

  • Current registration in good standing with a professional college identified under the Health Professions Act.

  • A minimum of five years clinical practice in child and family mental health and/or youth addictions.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in all aspects of the discipline including clinical practice, supervision and education.

  • Enhanced skills in knowledge translation and education, program design and evaluation is desirable.

  • Able to identify barriers and facilitate solution development.

  • Ability to work autonomously, independently and to prioritize work activities.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new or unexpected situations, flexibility in approach to interpersonal situations.

  • Skill in asking the right questions to address the fundamental drivers of a situation.

  • Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving ability.

  • Understanding of knowledge processes such as organizational learning and development.

  • Appreciation of interdisciplinary approach to mental health illness.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build consensus.

  • Commitment to quality improvement processes.
