This parenting support group will assist parents in using the skills learned in the Incredible Years Junior Social Skills and Senior Social Skills groups as the basis for promoting effectiveness as parents. Parents will be encouraged to share their knowledge and experience in acquiring and using effective positive parenting strategies. Parents will be encouraged by the group facilitators to support other group participants and to strengthen their roles in directing their children’s social skills development, personal responsibility, self-esteem, self-control, and problem solving. |

Social skills parenting support group is offered January to June and September to December (last Wednesday of each month). Please contact the CASA Intake Receptionist for exact dates and times. |

Who Can Refer: |

Referral Criteria: |
Graduates of Incredible Years/Junior Social Skills and Senior Social Skills programs who are interested in receiving more support in parenting skills. Referrals can be made by CASA therapists to Lorna Chatwin at CASA Centre. |
