Infant and Preschool Services
The Infant and Preschool Services program helps families and their infants and children up to age 5. The goals of the program are:
- the early identification of mental health issues in infants and preschool children
- to offer the most effective mental health treatment and support possible to the children, families and other caregivers
- to raise awareness and skill in the field of infant and preschool mental health
- to expand the current knowledge in the field of infant and preschool mental health through evaluation and research
These goals are achieved by offering a clinic-based assessment and treatment program, providing outreach services to Head Start and Home Visitation Programs in the Capital Region, offering parent and professional training workshops and participating in program evaluations and research initiatives.
The team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists and social workers.
